Every appearance on television, radio or in print is a chance for a PR coup, but there is also the potential downside risk that media exposure could cause immeasurable reputational damage. Being prepared is the way to ensure that an opportunity doesn’t turn into a crisis.
What we do

Media training

Whether it's a group workshop or one-to-one coaching and mentoring, a media training session at Weber Shandwick equips participants with all the necessary skills and confidence to handle every media and new media situation.

Realistic scenarios are worked up ahead of the training, through discussion with agency colleagues and in-house comms teams. Questions are written by ex journalists and audio and video playback is used to  analyse and improve performance in a friendly, discursive manner. Should you be concerned about the risk of attack online, Weber Shandwick's Firebell social media crisis software enables us to help your team prepare via a simulated, real-time scenario, using 'working' versions of Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms and media sites.

Our media training courses can be tailored for every level within an organisation, from one-on-one  specific interview coaching for senior spokespeople to media training for specific product launches or general spokesperson refresher courses. Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and collaborative. They enable people at all levels within an organisation to participate, contribute and learn from the experience.
