Weber Shandwick is proud to be the headline sponsor of the inaugural Brand Film Festival. Hosted by PRWeek and Campaign US, the festival is designed to showcase the year’s most innovative, creative and effective branded content films.
This first-of-its-kind event takes place this May in New York and will “recognise marketing’s evolution from distraction to entertainment” while celebrating excellence in brand storytelling. From Vines to YouTube videos to documentary films, the festival will honor the brands, agencies and people creating powerful content across categories such as Branded Content and Entertainment, Audience Engagement and Craft.
Ian Cohen, global executive producer and president, Content Creation and Innovation, Weber Shandwick, will serve on the Brand Film Festival jury. For more than a decade, Cohen has laid a foundation for lasting change in an industry that’s constantly in flux. He is a driving force in Weber Shandwick’s evolution from a public relations firm to an engagement agency and has been instrumental in the creation, launch and execution of Mediaco – the firm’s branded content arm – and GoLive, Weber Shandwick’s forward-charging live storytelling platform.
