Weber Shandwick was asked by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Presence Switzerland, the official body for Switzerland’s communications abroad, to promote the country’s official hospitality centre at the 2012 London Olympic Games: the House of Switzerland.
The campaign has been designed to boost the country’s brand in the UK and to enhance and develop its network of contacts. The focus for the campaign is the House of Switzerland itself which will be based in and around Glaziers Hall on the South Bank and will be open to the public during the Olympics.
In July 2011, Weber Shandwick helped to launch the House’s Red Zone concept - a red painted area, expected to attract approximately 250,000 visitors - with an event for London, Olympic and Swiss media. Weber Shandwick helped to prepare the event, write speeches, produce media collateral and generate media attendance.
