Rang tan and #brutalcut Named to PRWeeks 10 Best PR Campaigns of 2010s list

Two key Weber Shandwick campaigns created and delivered for clients Iceland Foods Ltd and ActionAid UK have this week been named to PRWeek’s 10 Best PR Campaigns of the 2010s list, developed as part of its ‘50 Years of PR’ special.

Iconic in their own way, these ground-breaking initiatives resulted in very real change, with #Brutal Cut highlighting the plight of Kenyan girls facing the threat of FGM and Rang-tan drawing national attention to the issue of palm oil. Both initiatives went on to receive numerous plaudits including a raft of key PR and creative programme awards.

Commenting on this latest recognition, Rachel Friend, CEO, Weber Shandwick UK & Ireland said: “At Weber Shandwick, we are in the business of solving the most important challenges for businesses, brands and organisations, recognising that every solution has a lasting impact and enhances the opportunities for our client partners and society. These campaigns are standout examples of how communications can earn attention and spark conversation to deliver change. This PRWeek honour is well-deserved recognition for our teams across the UK network, in London and Manchester.”
