WEBER SHANDWICK NAMES ILAN SCHÄFER GERMANY CEO

Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading global communications and marketing solutions firms, announced today the appointment of Ilan Schäfer as the new CEO of its German operations.

Weber Shandwick Germany, with offices in Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt and Munich, is one of the firm’s largest markets in EMEA, serving top German and international clients across a range of practice areas. Mr. Schäfer will be responsible for deepening the agency’s innovation, creative and digital offerings in Germany to deliver solutions to clients within the region, and further develop the collaboration with other offices within EMEA to help serve the firm’s international clients. He will begin his new role at Weber Shandwick on 4 November and report to EMEA COO, Jonas Palmqvist.

 

Currently managing director of VCCP Berlin, Mr. Schäfer brings more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and consulting, with great knowledge of integrated and strategic communications across consumer, corporate and financial, as well as creative development. An expert in building teams and driving large operations, Mr. Schäfer will continue to broaden the German offer as well as optimise the creative reputation and ultimately grow the business.
