John Cronin

John organised the inaugural USA House in Davos – a high-profile platform that hosted the largest U.S. government delegation ever to attend the World Economic Forum, convening American policymakers, business leaders, and global change agents for strategic dialogue and partnership. As Managing Partner at Stromback Global LLC, he oversees exclusive, invite-only events and advisory that bring influential leaders, high-performing innovators, and Fortune 500 executives into the same room.

 

He holds a dual degree in mechanical engineering and business administration from Villanova University. Over three decades he has founded, scaled, and led technology ventures spanning geographic information systems, electronic document management, the early Internet, and blockchain. As an entrepreneur he re-engineered manufacturing operations and supply chains for GE, Ford, Nissan, Lockheed, and ABB. At Day & Zimmermann, a billion-dollar privately held company, he grew a nascent GIS business unit into a profitable enterprise and received the annual Quality Performance Award given to the top 10 performers out of 15,000 employees. Companies under his leadership earned Fortune magazine’s “Cool Companies–Hot Ideas” recognition and a ranking on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500.

 

Beyond business, John is a 3× Ironman finisher and All World Athlete (top 10% globally in his age group).
