Kerrita is a global sustainability and communications leader who believes business leaders and organisations play a strong role in utilising their resources and influence to ensure a better future for all. She holds a strong track record in purpose-driven communications, visual storytelling, orchestrating award-winning campaigns, global advocacy, building strategic partnerships, and driving corporate and brand reputation.
She is the former Global Director of Sustainability Communications at Mars Pet Nutrition and is proud of launching Mars’ first ever sustainability and purpose global brand campaign, Sheba Hope Reef in 2021 with leading cat food brand SHEBA®. Hope Grows delivered 2.5 billion earned impressions and won the Cannes Lions 2022 Industry Craft Grand Prix & the Media Grand Prix.
With over two decades of experience as a senior-level communications professional, Kerrita has navigated a diverse range of functions, industries, and global landscapes. Throughout her career, she has partnered closely with executive leadership teams in high-stakes, dynamic environments around the world. Her expertise spans communications, strategy, brand purpose, brand PR, marketing communications, crisis management, external relations, advocacy, public affairs, and sustainability.
Kerrita has previously worked as the EMEA Corporate Affairs Director for Mars Wrigley, the Global External Affairs & Issues Manager for Food and Refreshments at Unilever, a Consultant at Edelman and Hill & Knowlton, and Global Media Relations & Advocacy Manager for the International Diabetes Federation.
She holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Kent at Brussels (Belgium) and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northeastern University (USA).
