In five words or less, how would you describe

Creative, supportive, determined, talented.

Describe Weber Shandwick’s culture in three words

Collaborative, supportive, fun.

What’s the coolest (or weirdest) place a project
has taken you?

Shooting burgers at a Holiday Inn Express near Brighton.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever seen happen
inside the Weber Shandwick offices?

Two really standout for me: seeing That Lot’s
in-house state of the art studio transform into
a rainforest for a pitch. And giant A2 posters
created by talented designers from across the
Weber Shandwick Collective being plastered over
the walls of our London office.

What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve
ever been given?

Take every opportunity that comes your way and
never turn down the chance to try something new.
Having worked across design, TV, digital, retail
and sport, I’m a huge advocate of this advice –
every opportunity presents a fresh challenge, and
you’ll learn new skills quickly along the way.

Who inspires you and why?

The designers I’m surrounded by every day.
Each has their individual passion and approach
to design, which manifests itself in an incredible
array of work.

What does the ‘Era of Earned’ mean to you?

To gain attention, you need to contribute value.
Brands must work harder to drive meaningful impact
– coverage is no longer enough.

What is the best thing you have learnt since
joining Weber Shandwick?

Working with the different practice areas across
the agency and their broad range of clients has
taught me there is never a ‘one size fits all’
solution. You must pivot and be prepared to adapt.
There’s always something to learn from every brief,
every client, every project.

What’s the best opportunity you have had since joining Weber Shandwick?

Being given the opportunity to head up design
for Weber Shandwick in the UK. Having previously
been That Lot’s Head of Design, I jumped at the
chance to take on a wider remit, driving output
and ensuring design is an accessible and valued
service within the network.

Name something new you have learnt since joining
the agency, that you didn’t know before

A behaviour I’ve adopted into my ‘everyday’:
make sure you’re valuable. This can be applied
to any task or role and is an effective way of
measuring performance – both for yourself and others.

Describe a typical day at Weber Shandwick

My mornings are focused on making sure everyone is
briefed and aware of the priority projects that require
close collaboration. The afternoon is all about delivering
the work and directing feedback through with the teams.

If you got a place on Access all Areas where
would you travel to and why?

Singapore. My best friend moved there in early-2023
and I haven’t had a chance to visit him yet. I hear
we have a wonderful team and beautiful office in the city.
