The tastiest of royal parodies 

As Iceland supermarket looked to promote its range of turkeys, the UK was besotted with The Crown. We tapped into that conversation with a parody of the show’s iconic opening credits, replacing the actual crown with a crown of the turkey variety.

The UK’s conversation was firmly focused on the new series of The Crown. Frozen food supermarket, Iceland, meanwhile was keen to promote its Christmas turkeys.

02The Move

To help Iceland tap into the conversation around the colossal Netflix show in a way that gave them a right to show off its glorious turkeys.

03The Action

The Turkey Crown, a hero film that parodied the iconic opening credits of the TV series, replacing the crown jewels with a turkey crown smothered in gravy.

04The Impact

140 pieces of media coverage including broadcast TV and radio. The campaign extended into SEO activity which signposted searches for ‘The Crown’ towards its turkeys.
